All Iowans should have the opportunity to follow their passion and live out their dreams.

We should ensure our children get the best education in the world. That’s why:

I will work in Congress to ensure Iowa schools get the resources they need to attract and retain great teachers while also investing in technology to keep students learning at the cutting edge. I believe receiving a quality education is an American right, and that public schools should be innovative in their approach to educating our most valuable interest – our children. That’s why I stand ready to fight against programs that use public education funds to support school choice programs.

Teachers should be honored, given the support and tools they need to do their best work, and compensated better. That’s why I am supportive of local teachers and the school districts they represent.

For more than 10 years, I have been an advocate for young people through my work with exposing high school students to colleges and universities. Student debt shouldn’t prevent young Americans from saving, investing in their careers, and following their passions. That’s why as Congressman, I will work hard to make college more affordable and ensure our economy reflects a steady increase for training in professions that form the mainstay of our economy.

I’m committed to reducing the burden of student debt on young Americans.

I will promote Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) education for Iowa students and professional education to qualify young Iowans for the workforce after high school.
